Affogato: A shot of espresso with vanilla ice cream.
Americano: Double shot espresso mixed with hot water.
Barista: The person with extensive knowledge who prepares the coffee.
Batch Brew: Filtered coffee made on a large scale.
Caffeine: An unscented bitter compound, responsible for coffee's stimulating effects on people.
Cappuccino: Equal balance of espresso, steamed milk and foam.
Coffee Blend: Combined beans from different countries or regions to achieve a unique taste.
Cold Brew: Filter based coffee brewed with cold water in a slow brewing process.
Cortado: Mixture of espresso and steam milk in a small cup.
Decaf: Coffee without caffeine.
Espresso: Strong shot of coffee served in a small cup.
Flat White: Espresso with thin layer of steamed milk.
Iced Coffee: Ice cold version of your favourite coffee.
Latte: Mostly steamed milk mixed with one or two shots of espresso with milk foam on.
Latte Art: Fascinating patterns made on the foam topping in your milk-based coffees.
Long black: Espresso drink consisting of two shots of espresso diluted with hot water.
Macchiato: Small amount of steamed milk in espresso shot.
Matcha Latte: Green tea powder with steamed milk.
Mocha: Regular latte with chocolate flavour in it.
Piccolo: Milk based espresso in a small cup.
Roasting: Transformation of coffee beans from green to brown shades.
Single Origin: The coffee beans from only one country or region.
Smoothie: Blending of fruits or vegetables with juice.
Speciality Coffee: The term for the highest quality of coffee which stored as whole beans. For coffee beans to be classified as 'speciality', it must be classified over 80% quality points by Speciality Coffee Association.
